The Technology Package is the entry point into the MDX’s upgraded feature set, adding 20-inch wheels, ambient cabin lighting, Milano leather-trimmed sport seats, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen® audio system, and front and rear parking sensors. Stepping up to SH-AWD® (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™) unlocks the Advance and A-Spec® packages, which build on the Technology Package in different directions: Advance focuses on comfort and convenience — heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, open-pore wood trim, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera system — while A-Spec® sharpens the exterior and interior styling with a sport appearance package, unique wheels, and Ultrasuede®-trimmed sport seats. A-Spec® Advance combines both directions in one trim. At the top of the range, Type S Advance adds a 355-horsepower turbocharged V6, adaptive air suspension, Brembo® front brakes, and a 31-speaker Bang & Olufsen® system.
The standard MDX is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 producing 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Sequential SportShift paddle shifters. The Type S Advance replaces that engine with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 making 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, available across a wide rpm band. Towing capacity is 3,500 lb on front-wheel-drive models and 5,000 lb with SH-AWD®, with the addition of an Acura accessory trailer hitch and hitch ball.91
Every 2026 MDX comes with Google built-in, which includes a three-year unlimited data plan for in-vehicle apps, along with a 12.3-inch color touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.185 Wireless Apple CarPlay® and wireless Android Auto™ compatibility are standard, as is Amazon Alexa built-in. Higher trims add a 10.5-inch head-up display, a 9-way massage function for the front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats. Audio starts with an 11-speaker Acura Premium system and moves up to a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen® system on Technology Package and above, topping out at 31 speakers on Type S Advance.
The 2026 MDX comes standard with a full suite of driver-assistive technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking System™ with Advanced Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Traffic Sign Recognition, Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Information System, and Rear Cross Traffic Monitor.41,42,43,56,59,61,84,112,114,115 These systems are designed to assist the driver and do not replace attentive, engaged driving — the driver remains responsible for safely operating the vehicle at all times.

Cargo space is 16.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 39.1 cubic feet behind the second row, and 71.4 cubic feet behind the front seats, each expanding further when loaded to the roofline.46 Second-row seating includes a removable middle seat, and third-row access is simplified with a one-touch smart slide walk-in feature, making the MDX practical for both everyday routines and longer family trips.
